Milton Youth Hockey Tribute to Dennis Drain

Dennis Drain, long time Milton Youth Hockey volunteer, sadly passed away in March leaving behind a legacy of coaching and mentoring that left an indelible positive impact on hundreds of Milton youth who were fortunate to have Dennis as a coach and tremendous role model!

When Dennis was a youngster himself, Milton Youth Hockey was in its infancy, and Dennis was lucky enough to learn to skate and play hockey through the Milton Youth Hockey Program. His participation in Milton Youth Hockey provided him the opportunity to continue to play hockey competitively at Milton High School as well as at Stonehill College!

When Dennis, who married his wife Sheila, had their three boys: Sean, Joseph, and Stephen, Dennis continued a lifetime of involvement in Milton Youth Hockey for 38 years by giving back! He coached in Learn To Skate, House League, and Mites! Additionally, Dennis, along with his wife, Sheila, were long-time administrative volunteers in the Learn To Skate Program, where they annually assisted in registering over two hundred boys and girls. Furthermore, Dennis gave of his time and talents as a dedicated Board of Director Member in Milton Youth Hockey.

Milton Youth Hockey wishes to thank all those who contributed to the organization in Dennis’ memory. He would be so humbled and grateful for the huge positive influence Milton Youth Hockey will continue to have on the youth in the Town of Milton.
